Transactional Customers - Commission Generated Sales
This is our lowest level customer profile and is available to those who need advice on a particular financial matter but do not wish to receive any ongoing advice from us. Such customers maybe unable or unwilling to pay a fee for our services, in which event we can make a suitable recommendation to them on the basis that we are paid an initial commission by the Company whose product we have recommended.
You will be advised as to the level of both initial and trail commission that might be payable to us. Any trail commission that such a policy may generate in the future will be retained by ourselves and will off-set costs associated in maintaining a contact with you, but should not be interpreted as being paid as a reflection of a servicing agreement. Because of the commercial risks to our business of dealing with Transactional Customers you will need to indemnify us against any losses that might ensue, resulting from the early cancellation of contracts written on this basis and you should be aware that we may pursue you in order to recover losses incurred.
For those transactional customers who do seek an ongoing service from us, this can be provided for a small charge. Please refer to the document titled ‘Service Levels and Schedule of Charges’
